WSOP 2010 Begins for Team PokerStrategy.com

The bid for 2010 World Series of Poker bracelet began for Team PokerStrategy.com today as they participated in their first event in this series, the $1,000 buy-in, No Limit Hold'em, Event #3.

BongBobA total of 2,601 players registered to play in Day 1A of Event #3, the first of the highly participated WSOP events. Besides Event #1 which is only open for casino employees, this is the event with the lowest buy-in in this year's series.

Four Team PokerStrategy.com members who landed in Las Vegas a couple of days ago, also took part in this tournament. They were AdminAllanon, AdminBongBob (pictured right), AdminNazgul and AdminRobbieV.

Besides the four team members, PokerStrategist Guennilicous and English Video Producer JonathanLittle were also playing on the first opening day of this event. Other notables who took part included Amarillo Slim, Joe Cada and Vanessa Rousso.

BongBob the last to fall

Unfortunately, all four of the team members did not manage to get past the first day of this massive event. AdminAllanon and AdminNazgul were the first to go in Level 3 while AdminRobbieV was eliminated just before the break in Level 4.

AdminBongBob went the furthest  and managed to built himself a healthy stack of more than 80 big blinds in Level 7. But the tide started to turn and he was eliminated in Level 9 with less than 500 players left from the starting field.

All four of them will return on Monday, May 31 to play in Event #5 - No Limit Hold'em $1,500.
