WSOP 2010: Team PokerStrategy.com Joins Event #5

The members of Team PokerStrategy.com were also among those who signed up for this $1,500 buy-in No Limit Hold'em Event. This is their second event in WSOP 2010.

Allanon The fifth event of WSOP 2010 attracted another big field of players. The low $1,500 buy-in, and the fact that it was the Memorial Day holiday here in the United States, meant that many casual players were seen at the tables, playing alongside the pros.

All four Team PokerStrategy.com members in Las Vegas, AdminAllanon (pictured right), AdminBongBob, AdminNazgul and AdminRobbieV, registered in this tournament, and are all playing in their second WSOP 2010 event. However, none of them managed to make it into Day 2.

A large number of big name players also turned up for this event after being eliminated from the $50k Poker Player's Championship. Phil Ivey heads that list, while Daniel Negreanu, Allan Cunningham and Barry Greenstein also played.

PokerStrategist survives to Day 2

This time around, AdminRobbieV was the first player out, despite making an early double up in the very first orbit. He saw some big fluctuations in his chip stack before making his exit. AdminBongBob had a relatively quiet day, and hit the rails in level 4.

Meanwhie, AdminAllanon and AdminNazgul were both eliminated around the dinner break. AdminAllanon tried unsuccessfully to pick up some chips in the last hand before the break, while AdminNazgul, who also had a day full of ups and downs, went out just a few hands after dinner.

PokerStrategist Guennilicous will be returning for Day 2 with 32,200 chips. He will start with 27 big blinds and will have the chip leader seated to his right. Team PokerStrategy.com will also be playing tomorrow, but in Event #6 - $5,000 No Limit Hold'em shootout.
