Late drama for simon1989, HenrikX and Panny1

simon1989 (pictured left) was on course to finish with well over 100,000 chips on Day 2A but was cruelly eliminated with minutes left to go until the end of the day. He picked up A-K and made a 5-bet shove against his opponent. Unfortunately, his opponent was holding A-A.The day however ended much more sweetly for HenrikX. He had been playing with a short stack of less than 50 big blinds for most of the day, but made a late double up just 30 minutes before the end. Holding 6-6 on a J 6 3 board, he managed to get it all in against his opponent, who was pretty much drawing dead with 6-3.
panny1 (pictured top right) also had a chance to pick up a monster 120,000 chip pot at the last level of the day. In a 3-bet pot holding 5-7 suited, he turned the straight and convinced his opponent to put in the chips for the call. Unfortunately for him, his opponent rivered a split pot.
Two more Team PokerStrategy.com members are scheduled to continue their WSOP Main Event journeys on Day 2B.
