WSOP 2010: RobbieV Advances in Event #13

RobbieV, Nazgul and Allanon all took part in Day 1A of this $1,000 No Limit Hold'em event. Of the close to two thousand that started today, only 288 will proceed to Day 2 and RobbieV was one of them.

Three of the four Team PokerStrategy.com members in Las Vegas were involved in Day 1A of Event #13 today. Nazgul, Allanon and RobbieV took part in today's proceedings, while BongBob is expected to play in Day 1B.

The participation in this second weekly (every Saturday) $1,000 event was less than what was seen last week. Less than 2,000 players signed up for the first opening day. Registration is however still open, and will only close by the start of level 3 on Day 1B.

Despite the relatively low buy-in, Event #13 was well attended by the pros. Shaun Deeb, Liv Boeree, Chris Ferguson, Kathy Liebert, Allen Cunningham, and Wooka Kim were just some of those who took part.

RobbieV sets his sights on second WSOP cash

Nazgul was the first Team PokerStrategy.com member to be eliminated in this event. Unfortunately, he was knocked out despite getting all his chips in with the best of it. Meanwhile, Allanon started off well, but hit a dry run and was knocked out before the dinner break.

After making his first ever in the money finish in the WSOP just a few days ago, RobbieV now has a chance to make his second WSOP cash in quick succession. However, he faces an uphill battle as he will start Day 2 with just 12 big blinds.

Play in Day 1A was stopped halfway through level 9 and a total of 288 players (15% of the starting field) advanced to Day 2. Day 1B will follow a similar structure.
