WSOP 2010: RobbieV Makes Day 2 in Event #8

A total of 2,341 players took part in this $1,500 No Limit Hold'em event, and Team PokerStrategy.com member RobbieV is among the 277 left who survived the day. They are now just 34 eliminations left to the money.

RobbieV The 2,341 entries for Event #8 in WSOP 2010 generated a prize pool of $3,160,350 and 243 players will make the cash, with a minimum payout of $2,844. A final table place is worth a minimum $41,843 while the winner will walk away with $568,974.

Team PokerStrategy.com members AdminRobbieV (pictured right), AdminAllanon, AdminNazgul and AdminBongBob took part in this event. They were joined by PokerStrategists Guennilicous and schuschu.

A few notable players were also involved in the action. Joe Cada, Barry Shulman, Joe Sebok, Eric Baldwin, Nick Binger and Eddy Scharf were all seated with one of the team members at some point in the event.

RobbieV closes in on his first WSOP cash

AdminNazgul was the first one out of today's tournament and was eliminated in level 2 after starting the event seated with 2009 Main Event champ, Joe Cada. AdminAllanon went out in level 3, while AdminBongBob was sent to the rail in level 5, shortly after the second 20 minute break. Meanwhile, PokerStrategists Guennilicous and schuschu had also hit the rails on Day 1.

AdminRobbieV was the sole surviving Team PokerStrategy.com member. In the end, he managed to take 18,500 chips into Day 2 and he now has the chance to make his first ever WSOP cash. He will start Day 2 with just over 15 big blinds.
