WSOP 2012 Schedule Rumour: No November Nine
The 2012 World Series of Poker schedule is all set to be announced today, and the big rumour is that the November Nine is no more.
The full schedule for the 2012 World Series of Poker will be announced later on today (Expected around 18:00 GMT), and it looks like the November Nine will not happen this year. Followers of the WSOP Twitter account were made aware of the potential changes Tuesday night.
The four month final table delay was first introduced in 2009, the year that Peter Eastgate was crowned World Champion. It was announced as an experiment at the time, but lasted for four years. However, with the improvement in live broadcasting last year from ESPN, and the significantly reduced advertising budgets post Black Friday, a lot of people expected this change to happen.
Also expected is a significant shortening on the Main Event, but not at the expense of the structure.
A rumoured schedule for this year has been leaked on 2+2, but it is, at the moment, unsubstantiated. We will bring you news of the full 2012 schedule as soon as it is released, later on today.

The November Nine concept was a nice gimmick but it wasn't really that good imo. Having to wait for about 4 months is just too much - at one point, anticipation turns to boredom and then to higher chances of disappointment.I hope they'll work on a different concept that will still highlight the Main Event somehow.

Im glad to hear that.. I think there should be some kind of break, but 4 months is ridiculous.
