WSOP 2009 Schedule Released
The 2009 World Series of Poker schedule has just been announced, having a total of 57 events across 50 playdays. The November Nine format will return this year as well, as the Main Event final table will be played from 7th to 10th of November,
World Series of Poker will be returning in this year with 50 days of poker containing 57 events. With buy-ins ranging from $1,000 to $50,000, the first event is set to start on the 27th of May, while the last one, the 12-day long Main Event, will start on the 3rd of July and it will last until the 14th of July.
The November Nine format proved to be a successful one last year, meaning that Main Event final table will again be delayed for approximately 4 months and it will last from the 7th to the 10th of November. Another interesting fact is that Harrah's will hold a unique $40,000 No Limit Hold'em event on the 28th of May, which has been added to celebrate 40 years of WSOP.
Besides the well-known tournament formats, some new events have also been added. This year we will be seeing the $2,500 2-7 Draw Lowball, as well as the $3,000 Triple Chance No Limit Hold'em event. Satellites will also be available, with buy-ins going from $200 to $1,570, and they will last from May 26 until July 14.
