WSOP Europe Starts Tomorrow

Tomorrow, the second edition of the World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) will kick off in the London Empire. Four tournaments are scheduled. The highlight will be the six-day £10,000 Main Event.

The opportunity to win one of the coveted WSOP bracelets will entice some of the Big Names into the English capital. Phil Hellmuth, Erick Lindgren, Chris Ferguson, Jennifer Harman and David Rheem will try to take the first European bracelet back to the USA amongst other players.

Furthermore, two members of the November Nine, Peter Eastgate from Denmark and Ivan Demidov from Russia, will take part in the event.

3 Bracelets given away last year

Thomas BihlLast year, all three bracelets stayed in Europe. The Norwegian Anette Obrestad became the youngest bracelet winner of all time when she won the Main Event. Thomas Bihl won the H.O.R.S.E Event and took the first ever WSOP bracelet given away on European ground back to Germany. Finally, the Italian Dario Alioto emerged victoriously from the £5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha Event.

Tomorrow the Kick Off with a Low Buy-in NLH Event

The WSOP in EuropeThe event begins with a four-day £1,500 No-Limit Hold'em Event with two starting days. Last year, a low-priced Hold'em event was missing in the tournament schedule, and thus a new WSOPE participants record is to be expected.

The Main Event will begin on September 27th and primps with the title "the Most expensive tournament in Europe". £10,000 is the buy-in, which 362 players paid last year.
