Only 175 players managed to survive through the day and they will return for Day 2 when the bubble will be burst. Only 117 of them will end in the money. Some of the early casualties included J.C. Tran, Yevgeniy Timoshenko, Amnon Filippi, Jerry Yang and Humberto Brenes.
still no break for team pokerstrategy.com
PokernoobTeam PokerStrategy.com members Tim " Nazgul" Kahlmeyer, Daniel " Allanon85"  Drescher and Tobias " Pokernoob"  Reinkemeier (pictured left) were also seen at the tables, but with no better results than in the past events.

Pokernoob just couldn't win any pots and then his story ended after he lost with pocket jacks against A-K. He commented in his blog:

"Of course it's pretty frustrating, especially when you feel like you're playing really well but the cards simply won't go your way."

JonathanLittle didn't fare any better either. He was doing well until a hand which cut his stack down to 41,000. Little opened the pot with a raise and got called by three players, including the big blind. The flop came Jc4s4c, the big blind bet, Little raised, the action folded around back to the big blind who made a three bet. Little put his opponent all-in and got called.

Little turned over QdJh and the big blind showed Td4d. The following two cards 9s8h didn't change anything and Little watched his stack shrink to 41,000. Nevertheless, he was still in a decent shape and continue to fight his way through the field.

Unfortunately, he was sent to the rail before the day came to an end. In his last hand, he moved all-in for 6,225 with KhJd and got called by an opponent who held JhJs. By far not the best situation he could've hoped for and when the board came Th7s2c5d3c, it was all over for Little.

Phil IveyPhil Ivey (pictured right) joined the action during Level 2 and quickly built his stack up. Unless somebody stops him, he might be soon looking at his 7th bracelet. Besides flashing his recently won bracelet, Ivey also demonstrated why he is one of the best.

In one of the many hands he won, Phil Ivey raised to 1,100 from the button and the big blind made the call. The flop came 8d6c4d, the big blind checked, Ivey made a continuation bet and got called. The turn brought 8c and both players checked.

The river came 8h and the big blind led out for 2,200. Ivey went into the tank for a few minutes, giving his opponent a stare and after he pulled out the information he needed, Ivey made the call. His opponent immediately mucked his cards and Ivey won the pot.

With 175 players making it through the day, here are the top 10 most successful amongst them:
