WSOP Event #55: John Juanda Aiming For The Bracelet
After a troublesome Day 2, only nine players remain in the $2,500 Triple Draw Lowball tournament. John Juanda and Nam Le will return for Day 3, unlike Daniel Negreanu, Amnon Filippi and many more pros.

Day 2 of the $2,500 Triple Draw Lowball tournament featured 73 players
firing bets at each other in a somewhat casual atmosphere since some of
the players didn't even know exactly how to play the game - but they
still managed to get to the second play day. The bubble was burst rather quickly since the hand-for-hand play didn't even have time to begin. Two consecutive knockouts have determined the official bubble boy who turned out to be Tom McCormick, leaving the tournament in 25th place.
negreanu puts up a valiant fight
Daniel Negreanu (pictured left) was on the ropes in the early stages of play but
managed to recover and just when it looked like he was going to make it
through the day, he tangled up in a hand against Abe Mosseri and Dan
Quach. Negranu was all-in against the two by the first draw. Mosseri
drew two, Quach and Negreanu drew one. Quach bet, Mosseri called and
Negreanu called all-in.Mosseri took two again on the second draw, Quach just one before firing a bet which forced Mosseri to fold. After the third draw, Quach showed 8-7-5-3-2 and Negreanu turned over 8-4-3-2, as he needed a five, six, or seven to stay alive. Negreanu caught a 2 which was no good and had to pack his bags.
The field was down to just 9 players when the clock was stopped for the day. Abe Mosseri will lead the small survivors pack into Day 3 with likes of John Juanda and Nam Le still in the tournament. Amnon Filippi, Greg Mueller, Shawn Sheikhan and Jimmy Fricke are some of the notables who couldn't make it through the day.
