durrrr joins Team Full Tilt
Full Tilt Poker has today announced that Tom "durrrr" Dwan will join the likes of Phil Ivey, Chris Ferguson, Patrik Antonius and Gus Hansen as a member of Team Full Tilt.
After months and months of speculation, Full Tilt Poker has finally announced that Tom "durrrr" Dwan will be a part of their most elite group of players - Team Full Tilt.
durrrr is the only player to be invited into this select group for more than a year. The last player to join the team was Patrik Antonius in June 2008.
He becomes the 14th member of Team Full Tilt which includes Phil Ivey, Mike Matusow, Chris Ferguson, Phil Gordon, Jennifer Harman, Erick Lindgren, Erik Seidel, Allen Cunningham, Howard Lederer, Patrik Antonius, Gus Hansen, Andy Bloch and John Juanda. As a full fledged member of Full Tilt Poker, he is set to enjoy the benefits that are reserved for only the very best.
The youngest member of the Team Full Tilt
At just 23 years old, durrrr is much younger that all of his colleagues on the team. Despite his young age, he is among the most successful members, as he took down more than $5.4 million from Full Tilt Poker's online tables last year. Besides his undisputed online success, durrrr has also shown his mettle in live games after dominating the fifth season of High Stakes Poker and also recently taking down a $1.1 million pot in the soon to be televised Million Dollar Cash Game. So far, he has also raked in more than $1 million in live tournament earnings.
"Team Full Tilt doesn't take adding a team member lightly. But, Tom Dwan has proven, through skill and dynamic play, that he will be a force to be reckoned with for many years to come," said Howard Lederer on the announcement. "We are proud to count Tom as one of our own," he added.
Poker aficionados and durrrr fans everywhere will now be sure to see even more of him after this latest development. As a member of Team Full Tilt, durrrr will be sharing his poker wisdom on the Full Tilt Poker Academy as well as writing for an exclusive blog on the FullTiltPoker.com website.
