2.1. The starting hand chart

The tournament professionals from PokerStrategy have combined their knowledge and put it into a table. The Result from this process was the starting hands chart (SHC). The chart shows you when you can play what kind of hands the best way. Print this chart and you'll know exactly what you are doing while you are playing.

The starting hands chart from PokerStrategy combines three types of information:

  • Your starting hands
  • Whether some opponents have raised
  • Your position

Your cards and the action of your opponents determine the row you should be looking at. Your position is the indicator for the column you should be looking at.
