@3 follow the one from the basic article UNLESS you've identified someone as using SSS, then you use the one here when playing against him.#6

I don't get it... Someone please explain to me how the Stack-Size:Size-of-Raise ratio is calculated. (In easy to understand basic formulas, eg. Stack-Size = Hero's Stack + x - y and Raise-Size = x - (y + z), please)I've calculated in various ways and I never get to the above mentioned ratios of 3:1 (Example 4) and 3.8:1 (Example 5). Sometimes I get to the one, but I can't seem to get to the other with the same calculation. PLEASE Help! With such frustration, I don't need suck-outs from bad players to TILT, I just try to figure this page out and then start out on TILT automatically at the tables. ;-)
Thanx in advance.

@7: the ratio is calculated as'your remaining stack size after your raise' : 'size of your raise'
example 4: 'preflop stack'=$2, 'raise'=$0.5, 'remaining stack'=$1.5
$1.5 : $0.5 = 3:1
Hope it helps :-)

great article. It fills a lot of gaps in sss playing, avoiding -ev plays, and optimizing profit. I bet there's not much sss players in the micro/low limits who knows this..#12

you would have to be a genius to do all this math at multiple tables, and then only to make a few extra bucks a day if your running good lolI think its good to recognize a SSS player, and just by knowing his range and common sense on stack sizes, you can make +Ev decisions

very good article, I'm playing SSS to clear a bonus and lost very often with TT, JJ, AKo. Now I can optimise the strategy and avoid some future losses.#15
