I like the article overall, but one question I have is, why is average pot size really important, would'nt players, per hand, in a pot better way to judge a table?#2

@ #1 u want the average post size because the higher it is the more money is being bet out and the more money for u to take in. Just cuz more people are coming into the hand doesn't mean they are betting more money. Also you'd rather play heads up with a strong hand anyway u don't wanna go in with AA vs 4 people, u'd rather have one high betting person.#4

I see this strategy at work day in and day out. IT WORKS. I play with a deeper stack myself, but I always make sure I get out of these short-stackers' path. The good news is that I'm the exception more than the rule.More often that not, I am treated to an enjoying show as a less-informed big stack takes on the "hapless and desperate short stack"... and then crying in chat about "what a lucky noob the short stacker was" - Always funny when the fish get fried and blame the cook.

There is one thing about this short stack strategy that I don't really understand. I see guys winning more than 100-200 big blinds and not getting out of the table, all the time. And it looks that they are not less succesfull because of that.#6

I don't agree with auto topping-up every time you fall below 20BB. Simply because it's an undefined risk. You can have a bad run and end up topping up over and over and over and even if you leave the table doubling up, your losses from topping would just erase those profits. It'd be better to just switch tables if you find yourself losing so much money that you have to end up topping again and again.#7

do you know what this really is great when u look at it you can quickly make a lot of easy cash using this play ok so you dont win a lot per table but each table you visit you take $2.50 hmm how many tbales can you get round in oone session??#9

#5 I believe that the reason why is because they are playing big stack strategy which gives your more freedom to the amount of hands to play however it does cost a lot more and there are alot more chips at risk. the good part is if you hit a bad beat you can only really lose $2.00 when he could lose $10.00#10
