Morgoth wins $29.000

At the WPT Bellagio Cup Event #2 Florian 'Morgoth' Langmann was able to get his first big success during his Las Vegas trip

Florian Langmann, reigning German poker champion and coach and author for PokerStrategy was able to reach third place at a WPT event, which took place in Las Vegas which is also the host for the WSOP 2007.

In this WPT event 103 players started with a buy-in of $2.500 + $120. They were playing for a price pool of $257.000. At the beginning Florian crippled down from 5k to 1k in chips but later on he was able to double a few times and put himself into a good position. And with 5 remaining players at the final table it was still looking quite good for Florian, since he possessed 50% of the chips. But then he lost some major pots. When they were down to three remaining players he called an all-in move from Tom Dobrilovic and lost the coinflip with pocket 9s against Tom's AK. He finished third for $29.000.
