Takzvaný gap concept<\/a> formuloval David Sklansky. Popisuje, že je potřeba držet mnohem silnější handu pro dorovnání raisu, než navýšovat jako první. Jednoduše existuje rozdíl mezi handami, se kterými byste měli navyšovat a se kterými pouze dorovnávat navýšení.
Jedná se vlastně o popis skutečnosti, že můžete jít all-in<\/a> s mnohem větší škálou hand<\/a> než těch, se kterými byste mohli all-in<\/a> v pozdní fázi turnaje dorovnat. Stejně tak je mnohem větší range<\/a> hand<\/a> se kterými můžete krást blindy nebo antes, než těch, se kterými je bránit.
Z uvedeného konceptu tak přímo vyplývá, že agresivní hráči mají vždy výhodu. <\/p>
