Existují dva způsoby, jak může hráč vyhrát handu. Buď se mu povede vyhrát showdown<\/a>, nebo přinutí ostatní složit jejich karty v průběhu některého ze sázkových kol. Jeho šance na výhru je tím vyšší, čím vyšší je šance, že protihráči složí své handy.<\/p>

Vzhledem k tomu, že procentuální podíl z potu, který hráči náleží vzhledem k síle jeho karet se nazývá pot<\/a> equity<\/a>, tak procento potu, které hráči náleží vzhledem k jeho šanci, že protihráči složí jejich karty, se nazvývá fold equity<\/a>.<\/p>

Při výpočtu expected value<\/a> počítejte s tím, že vyhrajete pay off x pravděpodobnosti řekněme 10%. <\/p>

Příklad:

Dva hráči jednají v posledním kole sázek před showdownem. Hráč A má 20% šanci na výhru showdownu. Pokud hráč A vsadí, hráč B složí jeho karty v 10% případů, v ostatních dorovná. Pot<\/a> je 4$ a velikost sázky 1$.<\/p>

EV(Bet<\/a>) = 20% * Payoff(B dorovná a A vyhraje showdown<\/a>) + 10% * Payoff(B složí karty)+ 70% * Payoff(B dorovná a A prohraje showdown<\/a>)<\/i><\/p>

EV(Bet<\/a>) = 20% * 5$ + 10% * 4$ + 70% * (-1$)<\/p>

EV(Bet<\/a>)= 0.7$
<\/p>

Proto hráč ve 20% případů vyhraje 5$, v 10% 4$ a ztratí 1$ v 70% případů. Sečteno a podtrženo, vyhraje 70 centů vůči sázce jeden dolar. <\/p>

V porovnání se (smyšleným) případem kde B neprovede bet<\/a> ani raise<\/a> a A jen checkne: <\/p>

EV(Check<\/a>) = 20% * 4$ + 80% * 0$ <\/i><\/p>

EV(Check<\/a>) = 0.8$ <\/p>

EV(Check<\/a>) > EV(Bet<\/a>)
<\/p>

V tomto případě je tedy pro A lepší pouze checkovat. <\/p>
