Cooler<\/a> je správně zahraná handa, která ovšem nakonec prohrála, kvůli nepříznivým vyloženým kartám. Typický příklad je když hráč se silnou handou prohraje proti jíné, ještě silnější handě. Často tak hráč přijde o velkou část svých prostředků. Není způsob, jak se takové situaci vyhnout.<\/p>

Příklad cooleru v Texas Hold'em<\/a> je situace, kdy dva hráči mají high pair<\/a> a oba sestaví na flopu handu three of a kind<\/a>. Nedá se to považovat za bad beat, ale pouze za smůlu. Oba hráči mají silné handy a pokud je zahrají správně, jeden z nich i přesto utrpí velkou ztrátu.<\/p>
