Tell<\/a> je sdělení o určité součásti hráčova chování, která o něm něco prozrazuje. Rozlišit můžeme mezi tells úmyslnými a nevědomými; některá gesta hráči dělají aniž o nich sami nevědí a jiné jsou součástí jejich hry, pokud věří, že je někdo pozoruje.<\/p>

V živé hře to může být způsob jakým se hráč věnuje svým žetonům. Začátečníci jsou si zase vědomi o konceptu \"slabý znamená silný\", kdy hráč hraje jeho silné handy slabě a bluffuje se slabými. Někteří hráči se po all-in<\/a> bluffu dívají doleva. Jiným druhem jsou tzv. timing tells, tedy znamení spojená s časováním, kdy nápovědou je čas věnovaný rozhodnutí o akci.Existují i tells ohledně vzhledu hráče, stylu oblečení, chování a mluvy. Různorodost je ohromující. <\/p>
