Disconnect protection<\/a> je ochranné opatření pro hráčovi sázky v případě selhání připojení k síti. Běžnou metodou je brát takového hráče jako že je all-in; nemůže již provést ždánou další akci a jde na showdown<\/a>.<\/p>

Tato funkce se v každé herně liší. Většinou je stanoven limit<\/a> těchto ochranných opatření na hráče. V turnajích se většinou nepovoluje vůbec; karty odpojeného hráče program automaticky skládá a hráč přichází o všechny sázky které vkládá.<\/p>

Tyto omezení jsou z toho důvodu, aby zamezily zneužití. Hráč by se mohl odpojit pokaždé, když by se příliš zvedly sázky a nechtěl složit své karty. Takové chování online herny posuzují jako podvádění, přestože je velice složité jej prokázat.<\/p>
