Dead money<\/a> je označení pro peníze hráče,  který s pravděpodobně foldne. Také se tak označují sázky, které nikdy nepatřily hráči aktivnímu v dané handě.<\/p>

Dead money<\/a> je tedy kombinace dead blindů a sázek od hráčů, kteří již složili nebo teprve složí karty. Vylepšují tedy pot odds<\/a>, protože hráč může vyhrát více, než jen sázky od stále aktivních hráčů. <\/p>

Stejně se označují i peníze, které vsadili hráči téměř bez šance na výhru, nebo u kterých je předpoklad, že přijdou o své peníze, pokud u stolu zůstanou déle. V takovém případě lze toto označení použít i pro slabého hráče. <\/p>
