Poker<\/a> byl dříve často spojován s hrami založenými na štěstí, poznačenými kartami, temnými zákoutími a kouřem zaplněnými místnostmi; během současného pokerového boomu je i přesto dnes již řazen mezi čistě strategické hry.<\/p>

Poker<\/a> je totiž hra, ve které dobrý hráč během dostatečně dlouhé doby ,díky strategickým akcím, vždy porazí horšího. Neexistuje sice jediná správná pokerová strategie, ale všechny přístupy se zakládají na matematice, pravděpodobnosti a psychologii hráčů. <\/p>

Na PokerStrategy se hráči učí nejdříve shortstack<\/a> strategy pro No-limit<\/a> Texas Hold'em<\/a>. Strategie je založená na hře s pouze několika silnými handami a malým obnosem peněz u stolu. Existují i jiné strategie s velkým buy-inem, kdy se hráč snaží vyhrát hodně malých, nebo několik velkých potů. Poker<\/a> je hra ve které může vyhrát každý, pokud se přizpůsobí základním pravidlům a zejména v pravděpodobnosti. <\/p>
