Interview mit \"The G\"<\/h2>

Wenn man als Journalist ein Mikrofon in die Nähe von Tony Gs Mundöffnung hält, dann kann man üblicherweise sicher sein, dass etwas Unterhaltsames und Provokantes herauskommt. So hat der litauisch-australische Pokerspieler kürzlich den Kollegen von PokerNews.com ein Interview zum Jahresabschluss gegeben, bei dem er unter anderem die Frage beantwortet, welchem Pokerkollegen er gern mal einen Schneeball ins Gesicht werfen würde. Wer errät es? Der Gewinner erhält zwei Kubikmeter Schnee zur Selbstabholung in Hamburg.<\/p>

Ein Tänzchen mit Phil<\/h2>

Auch seinen Intimfeind Phil Hellmuth lässt Tony G im Interview nicht unerwähnt. Der 11-fache Bracelet-Sieger machte kurz vor Weihnachten durch einen Eintrag bei Twitter auf sich aufmerksam, indem er ankündigte, bei der nächsten Staffel von \"Dancing with the Stars\" in den USA dabei zu sein. Bisher gibt es außer dem genannten Tweet<\/a> keinerlei Bestätigung dieser Behauptung, da die offizielle Teilnehmerliste erst im Januar veröffentlicht wird, aber möglich wäre es.<\/p>

Phil Hellmuth versuchte angeblich bereits 2009 einen Platz in der Show zu erhalten, wurde aber beim Casting abgewiesen. Vielleicht hatte er jetzt mehr Glück.<\/p>

Auch über die Feiertage waren einige Pokerprofis bei Twitter wieder besonders mitteilsam und veröffentlichten teilweise auch Fotos von ihrem Weihnachtsfest. Die meiste Aufmerksamkeit dürfte dabei Daniel Negreanu erlangt haben, der sich an Heiligabend mit einem äußerst dezenten Oberteil zur Erinnerung an einen großen Künstler in die Öffentlichkeit begab.<\/p>

Der Bildbeschreibung nach zu unterteilen war das Bild ein Geschenk von \"Big Game\"-Moderator Joe Stapleton und Daniel freute sich offenbar bereits darauf, später am Tag einen erstklassigen \"Conversation Starter\" am Leib zu tragen.<\/p>

WSOP-Zeitplan und eine kleine Regeländerung<\/h2>

Der Winter hat Mitteleuropa momentan noch fest im Griff und manche Pokerspieler träumen vermutlich bereits heimlich von sonnigen Tagen in Las Vegas, möglicherweise zu der Zeit, während der die Events der World Series of Poker stattfinden.<\/p>

Inzwischen wurden Start- und Endtermin der WSOP bekanntgegeben und alle Vegas-Enthusiasten und WSOP-Highroller sollten sich den Zeitraum vom 31. Mai bis zum 19. Juli freihalten. Die genaue Liste der Events steht noch nicht fest, aber Fakt ist bereits, dass es vier Starttage für das Main Event geben wird. Tag 1A ist 7. Juli und der letzte Tage mit der Final Table Bubble ist der 19. Juli. <\/p>

Im Zuge dieser Ankündigung wurde auch eine kleine Regeländerung mitgeteilt. So wird bei der kommenden WSOP nicht mehr eine bestimmte Zahl an noch im Turnier befindlichen Teilnehmern das Ende eines Tages vorgeben, sondern es wird jeden Tag immer eine fixe Anzahl an Blind Levels gespielt. <\/p>

Damit will die WSOP die Turniere besser planbar machen und verhindern, dass Spieler und Dealer durch lange Nachtsessions unnötig belastet werden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Neuer Team PokerStars Pro: Dag Palovic<\/h2>

Nachdem PokerStars jüngst Isildur1 ins Team PokerStars Pro aufgenommen hat, gibt es nunmehr einen weiteren Neuzugang. Diesmal sogar mit Foto. Dag Palovic heißt der PokerStars-Frischling mit slowakischem Pass.<\/p>

Palovic schaffte sowohl in 2009 als auch 2010 einen Deeprun im WSOP Main Event und erreichte zwei Mal den Final Table eines EPT-Events. Seine Turniergewinne bisher belaufen sich auf rund $750.000.<\/p>

Damit führt der 35-Jährige die Liste der Slowaken mit den höchsten Turnierpreisgeldern an und darüber hinaus ist er auch als Fernsehmoderator in der Slowakei ein bekanntes Gesicht.<\/p>

Mit der Unterstützung von PokerStars will sich Palovic jetzt weiter verbessern und ein \"gutes und sichtbares\" Mitglied des Teams werden.<\/p>
