Wohl aufgrund seiner stillen, bescheidenen Art bekommt Juanda längst nicht die Anerkennung, die er als Pokerspieler eigentlich verdient hätte.<\/p>

John Juanda ist ein fünfmaliger Bracelet-Sieger, der zudem den begehrten Titel des Main Event-Champions 2008 bei der WSOP Europe gewann, verbunden mit einem Gewinn von $1,5 Millionen. In der ewigen Geldrangliste der Pokerspieler ist er auf Platz fünf mit $11.774.485 an Live-Turnier-Gewinnen.<\/p>

Weitere achtbare Erfolge von Juanda beinhalten unter anderem einen zweiten Platz bei der EPT London 2010 und einen vierten Platz beim $50k Player's Championship 8 Game Event bei der WSOP 2010.<\/p>

Daneben ist er ein verdienter Cash-Game-Spieler, der regelmäßig bei Poker After Dark und im \"Big Game\" im Bellagio auftrat. Neben Größen wie Phil Ivey und Tom Dwan reiste Juanda im letzten November nach Macau, um dort auf den High Stakes gegen chinesische Geschäftsleute zu spielen.<\/p>

Niemand Geringeres als Daniel Negreanu lobte Juanda anschließend via Twitter als \"den besten Allround 2-7-Spieler, mit dem ich jemals gespielt habe, besonders in Turnieren. Er liest Menschen unglaublich gut.\"<\/p>

Dem Zweiten, Phil Hellmuth, entfuhr nur ein \"You're just so f****** scary!\" (\"Du bist so verdammt beängstigend!\")<\/p>

Bekannt für sein ruhiges und bescheidenes Auftreten, kann man Juanda als Gentleman sowohl an den Tischen als auch abseits davon bezeichnen. Auch nach seinem fünften Bracelet war er gewohnt zurückhaltend, indem er seinen Sieg auch dem Kartenglück zuschrieb: \"Wenn die Karten zu seinen Gunsten gekommen wären, könnte er [also Hellmuth] jetzt hier stehen und anstelle von mir das Interview geben.\"<\/p>
