In der vergangenen Woche kehrte Ray Bitar aus dem Full Tilt-Headquarter in Irland in die USA zurück<\/a>, um sich den US-Bundesbehörden zu stellen. Nach seiner Ankunft am New Yorker John F. Kennedy Airport wurde er umgehend vom FBI unter Arrest gestellt.<\/p>

Zudem sah er sich einer neuen überarbeiteten Anklage<\/a> gegenüber. Sie umfasst die ursprünglichen Vorwürfe des Black Friday und vier neue Anklagepunkte, die in Bezug zu den Geldern stehen, die bis heute den Full Tilt-Spielern geschuldet werden. Bitar bekannte sich nicht schuldig.<\/p>

Die Staatsanwaltschaft argumentierte zwar, dass bei Bitar ein Fluchtrisiko bestehe, der zuständige Richter war jedoch der Meinung, dass man sich auf eine Kaution einigen könne.<\/p>

Laut Forbes hat Richter Paul Engelmayer am gestrigen Tage dann einer Kaution, die an mehrere Bedingungen geknüpft ist, zugestimmt. Die Auflagen lauten wie folgt: <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
•<\/td>\nBitar muss Sicherheiten in Höhe von $2,5 Millionen hinterlegen, abgesichert durch Kapital und Eigentum.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
•<\/td>\nBitar muss seinen Reisepass abgeben und darf lediglich nach New York oder Kalifornien reisen.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
•<\/td>\nFünf Personen, die Bitar nahestehen, haben für ihn gebürgt und würden sich so Klagen ausgesetzt sehen, wenn Bitar sich nicht an die Abmachung hält.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
•<\/td>\nBitar darf New York nicht verlassen, solange er nicht all seine persönlichen Vermögenswerte offengelegt hat.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
•<\/td>\nIn seinem Wohnsitz in Kalifornien muss Bitar eine elektronische Fußfessel tragen.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/td>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>

Sollte allen Anklagen stattgegeben werden, liegt die Höchststrafe, die Bitar droht, bei 145 Jahren Gefängnis.<\/p>

Richter Lewis Kaplan, der den Vorsitz beim Großteil der Black Friday-Prozesse innehat, wird das Gerichtsverfahren gegen Bitar nicht betreuen, um einen möglichen Interessenkonflikt vorzubeugen. Bevor Kaplan zum Richter ernannt wurde, hatte er unter anderem für die New Yorker Anwaltskanzlei Paul Weiss gearbeitet, in der auch Bitars aktueller Verteidiger John F. Baughman tätig ist.<\/p>
