Es war eines dieser Massenturniere der World Series of Poker in Las Vegas: Insgesamt 2.105 Spieler bezahlten das Buy-In in Höhe von $1.500, um bei Event #17<\/a> (No-Limit) dabei zu sein.<\/p>

Der Preispool betrug $2.841.750 und die besten 216 Spieler konnten sich über Geld freuen. Neben Layne Flack, Andrey Pateychuk, David Sklansky, Jake Cody und Barry Greenstein erreichten auch die beiden Deutschen Christian Rudolph und Ralf Schäfer die bezahlten Ränge.\"\"<\/p>

Eine glänzende Performance legten aber vor allem unser PokerStratege Manuel Mutke und der ehemalige WSOP Main Event-Champion Joe Cada hin, die es an den Final Table schafften.<\/p>

Manuel lag zu Beginn des Finaltisches mit 1,7 Millionen Chips nur knapp hinter Athanasios Polychronopoulos (2 Millionen Chips), der das Teilnehmerfeld anführte. Cada hatte mit 1,4 Millionen Chips ebenfalls gute Chancen auf den Sieg.<\/p>

Polychronopoulos sorgte direkt für den ersten Bustout am Final Table, er warf Thomas Nicotera aus dem Turnier: Der Kalifornier versuchte es preflop mit A-6<\/strong> gegen die Kings von Polychronopoulos: Das Board brachte J-7-6-5-5<\/strong> und damit waren nur noch acht Spieler dabei.<\/p>

Nachdem anschließend David 'Bakes' Baker und Joseph Ward an die Rails mussten, schlug die Stunde von Manuel Mutke: Mit Q-7<\/strong> konnte er sich gegen 3-4<\/strong> von Michael Kurth durchsetzen, der seinen Flush Draw verpasst hatte.<\/p>

Durch die gewonnenen Chips konnte es unser PokerStratege etwas ruhiger angehen lassen. Er sah, wie Samuel Taylor (K-J<\/strong>) von <\/span><\/em>Polychronopoulos (A-9<\/strong>) an die Rails geschickt wurde, da das Board 10-9-5-5-10 <\/strong>brachte.<\/p>

Als Vierter musste Joe Cada den Turniersaal verlassen und erneut sorgte Polychronopoulos für den Bustout. Preflop gingen die Chips des ehemaligen Main Event-Siegers in die Mitte und er drehte A-Q<\/strong> um, während sein Kontrahent nur A-J<\/strong> zu bieten hatte. Der Turn brachte aber einen Buben und damit war Cada ausgeschieden. Als Dritter schied Everett Carlton aus und damit stand Manuel Mutke im Heads-Up.<\/p>

Das Duell der beiden verbliebenen Spieler dauerte nur wenige Hände, dann hatte Polychronopoulos erneut das Glück auf seiner Seite: Mit Q-J<\/strong> trat er preflop gegen A-J<\/strong> von Manuel an. Bis zum Turn (J-5-3-2)<\/strong> sah alles nach einem sicheren Double-up unseres PokerStrategen aus, dann kam die Q<\/strong> auf dem River und das Turnier war beendet.<\/p>

Während sich Manuel mit $322.908 zufriedengeben musste, erhielt Athanasios Polychronopoulos $518.755 Preisgeld und das begehrte WSOP-Bracelet. Wir gratulieren unserem Communitymitglied dennoch recht herzlich und wünschen weiterhin viel Erfolg!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
