Lange Zeit waren die deutschen Pokerspieler beim Main Event des EPT Grand Finals in Monte Carlo auf Titelkurs. Etliche deutsche Topstars konnten die Top 50 erreichen, doch am Ende konnte sich Antonio Buonanno aus Italien die EPT-Trophäe und die Siegesprämie in Höhe von 1,24 Millionen Euro sichern. \"Es war schwierig und anstrengend\", sagte der neue Champion.\"\"<\/p>

Insgesamt 650 Spieler hatten das Buy-In von 10.600 Euro bezahlt, um am Main Event teilzunehmen. Auch etliche Deutsche hatten den Weg nach Monaco gefunden und versuchten, den letzten Stop der zehnten EPT-Saison mit einem Sieg abzuschließen.  <\/p>

Am Finaltisch schnupperten unter anderem Hendrik Latz (Platz 27, 36.700 Euro), Christoph Vogelsang (Platz 25, 36.700 Euro) und Heinz Kamutzki (Platz 23, 42.850 Euro), doch sie scheiterten kurz vor dem letzten Tisch. Dafür schafften es mit Sebastian Bredthauer, Malte Mönnig und Sebastian von Toperczer gleich drei Deutsche an den Final Table.<\/p>

Besonders stark war die Leistung von Sebastian Bredthauer, der sich für gerade einmal 100 FPPs für das EPT Grand Final qualifiziert hatte. Durch den Einzug in das Finale hatte er 128.800 Euro Preisgeld sicher. Neben den Deutschen kämpften auch Mayu Roca, Jack Salter, Antonio Buonanno, Magnus Karlsson und Kenny Hicks um den EPT-Titel.<\/p>

Es sah also gut aus mit einem deutschen Triumph, doch schon recht früh musste Sebastian Bredthauer seine Titelträume begraben. Der 23-Jährige, der normalerweise Low-Stakes-Turniere im Internet spielt, schied nach einer Konfrontation mit Jack Salter auf Platz acht aus.<\/p>

Bredthauer hatte preflop mit A-8<\/strong> in Herz alle Chips in die Mitte geschoben und bekam den Call von Salter, der A-K <\/strong>umdrehte. Das Board brachte 9-6-5-6-10<\/strong> und für den deutschen Studenten gab es 128.800 Euro. Nachdem Kenny Hicks als Siebter ausgeschieden war, erwischte es Sebastian von Toperczer auf Rang sechs. <\/p>

Der 25-Jährige aus Nordrhein-Westfalen wurde von Malte Mönnig aus dem Turnier geworfen. Mit 7-7<\/strong> trat er gegen 10-10<\/strong> von Mönnig an, bekam keine Hilfe mehr und musste sich mit 258.300 Euro zufriedengeben. Anschließend schieden Magnus Karlsson (Platz fünf) und Mayu Roca (Platz vier) aus.<\/p>

Auf Rang drei war dann für Malte Mönnig Endstation. Nach einem Raise vom Button mit A-5<\/strong> in Karo und einer 3-Bet von Buonanno ging der Deutsche All-In, bekam allerdings direkt den Call und A-K<\/strong> gezeigt. Das Board brachte J-9-2-2-8<\/strong> und Malte durfte sein Preisgeld in Höhe von knapp 550.000 Euro genießen.<\/p>

Im Heads-Up standen sich Jack Salter und Antonio Buonanno gegenüber. Es dauerte allerdings einige Zeit, dann kam es zur letzten Hand des Turniers: Salter versuchte es preflop mit K-7<\/strong> in Karo gegen A-4<\/strong> von Buonanno. Das Board zeigte am Ende J-9-2-Q-3<\/strong> und damit ging der EPT-Sieg nach Italien.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
