120 Spieler bezahlten das Buy-In in Höhe von $10.000, um bei Event #5 der World Series of Poker dabei zu sein. Das Limit 2-7 Triple Draw Lowball-Event lockte die Crème de la Crème der Pokerszene an, denn unter anderem wollten Freddy Deeb, Huck Seed, Scott Seiver, Barry Greenstein, Dan Shak, Doyle Brunson, Phil Galfond, Todd Brunson und Phil Ivey den Titel bei diesem Turnier gewinnen.\"\"<\/p>

Auch George georgedanzer Danzer und Ismael Bojang gingen ins Rennen, wobei Bojang nicht in die Geldränge kam. Dafür spielte der deutsche Team PokerStars Pro groß auf und konnte sich sogar einen Platz am Final Table ergattern. Auch hier schnalzten die Railbirds mit der Zunge, denn neben Danzer hatten es auch Phil Galfond, Nick Schulman, Eli Elezra, Justin Bonomo und Tuan Le unter die besten sechs Spieler geschafft.<\/p>

Als erster Finalist musste Phil Galfond den Turniersaal verlassen, da er eine Konfrontation mit Justin Bonomo verlor: Bonomo zeigte 8-6-5-4-3 <\/strong>und damit war Galfond ausgeschieden. Auf Platz fünf verabschiedete sich dann George Danzer, der gegen Eli Elezra unterlag. Der deutsche Mixed-Games-Spezialist zeigte 8-3-2-7-8<\/strong>, Elezra hatte 9-6-4-3-2<\/strong> zu bieten und schnappte sich den Pot.<\/p>

Die Braceletträume von George waren damit erneut geplatzt, für den fünften Platz gab es ein Trostpflaster in Höhe von $70.308. Nachdem Nick Schulman (Platz vier, $99.015) und Eli Elezra (Platz drei, $144.056) Feierabend hatten, standen sich im Heads-Up Tuan Le und Justin Bonomo gegenüber. Le konnte sich in der letzten Hand des Turniers mit 9-6-4-3-2<\/strong> durchsetzen, da Bonomo 9-8-7-5-4<\/strong> hielt. Der Sieger bekam $355.324 und das begehrte WSOP-Bracelet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Die Braceletjagd geht für George Danzer weiter<\/h2>

Seit Beginn seiner Pokerkarriere träumt George georgedanzer Danzer von einem WSOP-Bracelet. Sein großes Ziel konnte er bislang noch nicht erreichen, doch einige Male war er bereits nah dran:<\/p>

1. <\/strong>Im Jahr 2007 wurde er beim $1.500 Omaha Hi\/Lo Split 8 or Better-Turnier Neunter, als Belohnung gab es $13.597.<\/p>

2.<\/strong> 2010 belegte er bei der $10.000 World Championship (No-Limit Deuce to Seven Draw) den dritten Platz und nahm $115.295 in Empfang. Sieger wurde damals David Baker.<\/p>

3.<\/strong> Vor zwei Jahren saß er gleich zweimal an einem WSOP-Finaltisch: Bei Event #42 ($2.500 Omaha\/Seven Card Stud Hi\/Lo) unterlag er im Heads-Up Oleksii Kovalchuk, bei Event #60 ($10.000 No-Limit 2-7 Draw Lowball) wurde er Dritter. Das Event konnte Nick Schulman für sich entscheiden.<\/p>

4.<\/strong> Auch im vergangenen Jahr war George lange Zeit auf Braceletkurs: Bei Event #5 ($2.500 Omaha\/Seven Card Stud Hi\/Lo) wurde er Sechster, bei Event #25 ($5.000 Omaha Hi\/Lo) belegte er Rang 14 und bei der $50.000 Players Championship landete er auf Platz fünf.<\/p>
