\"Stephensen\"<\/p>

Er wohnt zwar schon seit ungefähr zwei Jahren in London, den norwegischen Finanzbehörden wird der Zweitplatzierte des diesjährigen WSOP Main Events Felix Stephensen wohl dennoch nicht entkommen.<\/p>

Stephensen zog wie viele andere europäische Profispieler, unter ihnen auch der Sieger des Main Events Martin Jacobson, in die britische Hauptstadt, weil im Vereinigten Königreich keine Steuern auf Einkommen aus Glücksspiel<\/strong><\/a> gezahlt werden müssen.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>

In Stephensens Heimatland Norwegen wird dieses Einkommen aus Glücksspiel hingegen wie jedes andere besteuert. Pokerspieler haben es dabei sogar noch einmal schlechter, weil sie in Norwegen als selbstständig betrachtet werden. Dies hat einen höheren Steuersatz zur Folge.<\/p>

Anstelle des sonstigen durchschnittlichen Steuersatzes von ungefähr 27% muss Stephensen nun mit einem Steuersatz von satten 50,4%<\/strong> rechnen. Einziger Silberstreif am Horizont für ihn ist, dass er die Möglichkeit hat, \"Betriebsausgaben\" steuermindernd geltend zu machen.<\/p>

So könnte er im Endeffekt von seinen ursprünglich gewonnenen $5,1 Millionen direkt $2,5 Millionen <\/strong>wieder an den norwegischen Staat abgeben müssen.<\/p>

Keine Steuern für den Sieger?<\/h2>

\"Jacobson\"<\/p>

Interessanterweise hat der Mann, der Stephensen heads-up bezwingen konnte, diese Befürchtungen nicht: Martin Jacobson wird auf die $10 Millionen, die er für seinen Sieg erhielt, keinen Cent Steuern zahlen müssen.<\/p>

Jacobson zog ebenso wie sein norwegischer Kollege aus seiner Heimat Schweden vor Jahren nach London, um von den Möglichkeiten zur Steuerersparnis in Großbritannien zu profitieren.<\/p>

Es gibt jedoch keinen Indikator dafür, dass die schwedische Regierung ebenfalls bei Jacobson anklopfen wird. Bei einem ähnlichen Steuersatz hätte für ihn eine Abgabe einen Verlust von $5 Millionen bedeutet.<\/p>
