Eine 11-jährige Durststrecke für Spanien bei der European Poker Tour wurde am vergangenen Abend beendet, als Adrian Mateos das EPT Grand Final in Monte Carlo für sich entscheiden konnte. <\/p>

Mateos hatte bereits 2013 das Main Event der World Series of Poker Europe für €1 Million gewonnen<\/a>. Nun gibt es weitere €1.082.000 für seinen jüngsten Erfolg in Monaco.<\/p>

Neben seinem WSOPE- und EPT-Titel kann Mateos auch bereits einen Titel bei der Estrellas Poker Tour vorweisen, obwohl er noch nicht einmal alt genug ist, um die WSOP in Las Vegas zu spielen. Erst im Juli dieses Jahres feiert er seinen 21. Geburtstag.<\/p>

Im Heads-up konnte sich der Spanier in Monaco gegen Muhyedine Fares<\/strong> durchsetzen, zuvor galt es am Final Table unter anderem Johnny Lodden<\/strong> und Ole Schemion<\/strong> zu schlagen.<\/p>

Für den deutschen PokerStrategen Schemion, der sich in der seltenen Situation befand, nicht der einzige junge Spieler mit etlichen High-Profile-Gewinnen in einem Turnierfinale zu sein, reichte es am Ende für Platz 6 und €233.500.<\/p>

Mit dem Event in Monaco fand die aktuelle Saison der European Poker Tour ihr Ende. Die neue beginnt im August in Barcelona.<\/p>
