Ongame, einst einer der führenden Online-Pokeranbieter, steht laut Berichten eines russischen Pokerportals mit sehr hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit vor seiner Schließung innerhalb der nächsten Wochen.<\/p>

Pokeroff.ru berichtet, dass das Netzwerk seine Nutzer via E-Mail darüber informiert hat, dass man Mitte Oktober den Betrieb einstellen würde.<\/p>

Sechs Jahre nach dem eigenen Launch als \"PokerRoom\" hatte man sich 2005 in Ongame umbenannt und das Netzwerk erweitert. Die meistens Skins sollen jedoch nun geschlossen und nur wenige sich anderen Netzwerken anschließen.<\/p>

Rückgang des Spielerpools<\/h2>

Auch wenn keine offizielle Stellungnahme vorliegt, gab es beim Anbieter einen stetigen Rückgang des Traffics, nachdem der damalige Eigner BETandWIN 2006 das Angebot im Zuge des Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act in den USA zurückzog.<\/p>

Zu diesem Zeitpunkt sollen rund 3,5 Millionen Spieler im Ongame-Netzwerk angemeldet gewesen sein, die sich jedoch nach Verlassen des US-Marktes größtenteils anderen Anbietern anschlossen.<\/p>

BETandWIN, aus dem mittlerweile bwin.party geworden ist, ermutigte die eigenen Spieler ebenfalls stattdessen bei partypoker zu spielen, bevor man das Ongame-Produkt an Amaya verkaufte.
