Der Final Table beim Online-Event

Das erste von insgesamt drei Online-Events der World Series of Poker 2017<\/a> wurde vergangene Woche ausgetragen und auf kuriose Weise beendet.<\/p>

Das $333 WSOP Online Little Grind hatte ein vergleichsweise günstiges Buy-in, sodass insgesamt 2.509 Spieler<\/strong> beim Turnier am virtuellen Filz antraten.<\/p>

Ein WSOP-Bracelet aus dem Komfort des eigenen Zuhauses zu gewinnen, dürfte für viele Online-Grinder wie ein Traum klingen. Noch traumhafter dürfte es sein, wenn der Heads-up-Gegner gar nicht erst für das entscheidende Duell auftaucht. Genau das ist dem Sieger des ersten Online-Events Joseph Mitchell widerfahren.<\/p>

Sein Finalgegner Mark Scacewater konnte aufgrund von Verbindungsschwierigkeiten für sehr lange Zeit das Duell nicht bestreiten<\/strong> und blindete nach und nach runter. Als eine Verbindung endlich wieder möglich war, war der Schaden schon entstanden und das Match in zwei Händen entschieden.<\/p>

Scacewater konnte sich immerhin noch mit $73.539 trösten, die nun wohl zum Teil in einen verlässlichen Internetanbieter fließen werden. Der Hauptpreis von $122.314 und das Bracelet gingen jedoch mehr oder weniger kampflos an Joseph Mitchell.<\/strong><\/p>

Verbindungsschwierigkeiten bei einzelnen Spielern sind keine Seltenheit bei großen Online-Turnieren. Erst letzten Monat musste Charlie Carrel mit einem Starbucks-Café vorliebnehmen, um das SCOOP Main Event zu Ende zu spielen. In diesem Fall war der Ausgang jedoch deutlich glücklicher, denn Carrel gewann letztendlich noch das Turnier<\/a>.<\/p>
