Die Eröffnungssaison der partypoker MILLIONS kann als Erfolg auf ganzer Linie verbucht werden. Nicht nur konnte man eine Grand-Slam-Turnierreihe etablieren<\/a>, man kann durchaus auch resümieren, dass wir die größte und beste Pokertour der aktuellen Turniersaison erlebt haben.<\/p>\n

Das €10.300 Grand Final Main Event hat dabei den Trend gut besetzter Teilnehmerfelder fortgesetzt und mehrere Preisgelder in Millionenhöhe garantiert. Insgesamt 1.175 Entrys kamen zustande, was in drei siebenstelligen Preisgeldern resultierte<\/strong>, die an einem äußerst stark besetzten Final Table vergeben wurden.<\/p>\n

Davidi Kitai, Dominik Nitsche<\/strong> und Stephen Chidwick<\/strong> waren allesamt mit von der Partie, am Ende sollte sich jedoch der kanadische Bracelet-Gewinner Pascal Lefrancois <\/strong>als Sieger durchsetzen und den Hauptpreis von €1.700.000 einsacken. Im Heads-up hatte Mixed-Games-Spezialist Adam Owen<\/strong> aus Großbritannien das Nachsehen.<\/p>\n

\"Es war ziemlich anstrengend. Das waren vier aufreibende Tage, insbesondere mit den zwei Starttagen zu Beginn. Ich habe versucht meine Konzentration hoch zu halten, auch wenn ich ziemlich müde war. Das Ganze ist einfach unglaublich. Man verfolgt diese riesigen Events und denkt eigentlich nicht im Traum daran, dass man sie gewinnen könnte\"<\/em>, erklärte ein sichtlich zufriedener Lefrancois nach seinem Triumph.<\/p>\n

Deutsche Spieler vorne mit dabei<\/h2>\n

Eine interessante Randnotiz beim Finale war, dass Triple-Crown-Gewinner Davidi Kitai im Falle eines Erfolgs der erste Spieler hätte werden können, dem der \"Grand Slam\" beim Poker gelingt (Siege bei WSOP, EPT, WPT und der MILLIONS-Turnierreihe). Am Ende sollte es für den Belgier aus Antwerpen jedoch \"nur\" für Platz 7 reichen.<\/p>\n

Aus deutscher Sicht erfreulich war natürlich das hervorragende Abschneiden von Dominik Nitsche auf Platz 4 für €800.000, direkt gefolgt von Jan-Eric Schwippert auf Platz 5, der mit einem Preisgeld von €602.500 belohnt wurde.<\/p>\n

Lange feiern wird man die erfolgreiche Eröffnungssaison der partypoker MILLIONS nun jedoch nicht, denn schon in dieser Woche steht der Start der zweiten Saison im Playground Poker Club in Montreal an, wo Grand-Final-Champ Lefrancois dann ein Heimspiel haben wird.<\/p>\n
