Das bisherige Jahr in Sachen Pokerstreaming war geprägt von der Trennung zahlreicher bekannter Streamer von PokerStars<\/a>, während partypoker zeitgleich angefangen hat, sein Team Online aufzubauen. Jeff Gross, Jaime Staples und Kevin Martin haben allesamt PokerStars im vergangenen Monat verlassen.<\/p>

Für viele wenig überraschend gab Jeff Gross am Freitag nun bekannt, dass er sich partypoker anschließen wird:<\/p>

Allein durch das Branding Team Online<\/strong> (derselbe Name wie der alte Stable für Online-Profis bei PokerStars), war abzusehen, dass partypoker den einen oder anderen ehemaligen PokerStars-Streamer unter seine Fittiche nehmen wird. So hatte man bei der Bekanntgabe des Sponsorings von Bill Perkins Twitch-Kanal Thirst Lounge<\/a> prophetisch auch ein Foto von Jeff Gross gepostet.<\/p>

Freitagabend war Gross nun erstmals für partypoker aktiv als Streamer an den Tischen seines neuen Sponsors, interessanterweise genau wie seine beiden Ex-Kollegen bei PokerStars Kevin Martin und Jaime Staples.<\/p>

Innerhalb von drei Jahren ist das nun der mittlerweile dritte Sponsorendeal für Jeff Gross:<\/p>

Der Kampf um die Vormachtstellung im Bereich Pokerstreams zwischen partypoker und PokerStars geht also in die nächste Runde. Dabei erinnert das Ganze ein wenig an die Monday Night Wars der 90er-Jahre zwischen den Wrestling-Verbänden WWF und WCW<\/a>, die sich damals einen Kampf um die höchsten Einschaltquoten geliefert haben, nur dass man sich dieser Tage eben jeden Abend um Views bei Twitch duelliert.<\/p>

Da Staples und Martin ihren Vertrag mit PokerStars kurz nach Gross beendet haben und vermutlich ähnlichen Wettbewerbsklauseln unterliegen, sollte man nicht allzu überrascht sein, wenn sich auch diese beiden ehemaligen PokerStars-Streamer schon bald auf der neuen Party blicken lassen.<\/p>
