Könnte die WSOP wider Erwarten doch im Sommer ausgetragen werden?<\/figcaption><\/figure>

Auch nachdem jedes Pokerevent in der absehbaren Zukunft abgesagt und sämtliche Casinos in Las Vegas geschlossen wurden, hat man sich bei der World Series of Poker vorrangig in Schweigen gehüllt, was eine Entscheidung zur Austragung des größten Pokerevents der Welt betrifft.<\/p>

Es gibt nach wie vor keine offizielle Stellungnahme, ob die Turnierserie wie geplant Ende Mai stattfinden wird, obwohl sich mittlerweile ein Viertel des gesamten Globus in den eigenen vier Wänden isoliert.<\/p>

Vergangene Woche hat der Las Vegas Review Journal enthüllt<\/a>, dass man eine Entscheidung zur WSOP wohl nicht vor Mai<\/strong> treffen wird. Seth Palansky, Vize-Präsident der Sparte Unternehmenskommunikation bei der WSOP hat dem Magazin gegenüber erklärt, dass man die Sachlage weiterhin genau beobachte und es keinen Grund gebe, bereits jetzt eine Entscheidung zu treffen.<\/p>

Palansky soll dabei auch einen Terminwechsel angedeutet<\/strong> haben, was ursprünglich nicht als machbare Lösung betrachtet wurde, mittlerweile aber durch die Absage etlicher Events im Rio die Tür für eine spätere Austragung der WSOP durchaus offen ist.<\/p>

Insgesamt 87 Bracelet-Events (darunter zwei Seniorenturniere) sollen bei der WSOP vom 26. Mai bis 15. Juli über die Bühne gehen. Ob das größte Pokerfestival tatsächlich auch in diesem Jahr ausgetragen werden sollte<\/a>, wird die Community allem Anschein nach noch eine Weile während der Coronavirus-Pandemie beschäftigen.<\/p>
