Das Drama der Woche setzt sich fort, kurz nachdem Bill Perkins einen Betrugsskandal in privaten Online-Partien<\/a> über eine unregulierte App angedeutet und Dan Bilzerian gezielt Daniel 'Jungleman' Cates als einen der Betrüger<\/a> an den Pranger gestellt hat. Im Laufe des gestrigen Abends hat Jungleman nun den Betrug tatsächlich eingestanden:<\/p>

\"Zur Klarstellung: Ich habe am 8. Mai angefangen mit Sina (sein Nachname ist übrigens nicht Taleb) zu spielen und war in ein paar wenigen Session mit dabei. Keine davon wurde jedoch wie behauptet gegen Dan Bilzerian gespielt.<\/em><\/p>\n

Ich habe sehr wenige Hände gegen Bill Perkins gespielt, der in einer Runde mit dabei war, von der ich wusste, dass dort Ghosting von etlichen Profis betrieben wurde. Ich dachte, da viele auf der Seite Profispieler für ihre Partien einsetzten (was eindeutig klar war durch das einzigartig hohe Spielniveau), dass es zu dem Zeitpunkt auch für mich akzeptabel war auf diese Weise mitzuspielen. Leider ist Bill dabei ins Kreuzfeuer geraten und das tut mir äußerst leid.<\/em><\/p>\n

Ich denke zwar nicht, dass es fair ist, dass ich als Einzelner an den Pranger gestellt werde für eine Praxis, die andere noch deutlich mehr genutzt haben, aber ich akzeptiere, dass meine Strafe als Vorbild in der Pokercommunity höher als bei einem normalen Spieler ausfällt. Ich erwarte von mir selbst einen hohen Standard an Ethik und strebe immer nach Chancengleichheit, ich mache nach wie vor aber Fehler und mein Verhalten tut mir leid. Ich werde mein Bestes geben, um in Zukunft besser zu handeln.\"<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>

Ghosting ist ein Graubereich<\/h2>

Es ist schwer die Stellungnahme einzuordnen, da sie einerseits eine Entschuldigung darstellt, die Vorwürfe jedoch in gewissem Maße auch abgewiesen werden. In einer vorherigen Version, die im Anschluss noch einmal bearbeitet wurde, hieß es noch, dass Jungleman jedem \"vergeben\" würde, der ihm vorgeworfen hat genau das getan zu haben, wozu er sich letztlich auch bekannte. Cates' Haltung scheint die Auffassung in einigen Ecken der Pokercommunity widerzuspiegeln, dass Ghosting zwar verwerflich ist, allerdings kein Betrug, da es so weit verbreitet ist.<\/p>

Von Ghosting spricht man, wenn ein Spieler für jemand anderen spielt oder in Echtzeit bei einer Partie Ratschläge zu Händen gibt, ohne dass die Mitspieler davon etwas wissen.<\/p>

Es ist nicht das erste Mal, dass Cates sich Betrugsvorwürfen ausgesetzt sieht<\/a>, und da Ghosting ein Graubereich in den High-Stakes-Partien zu sein scheint, wird der Skandal wohl nicht seinen Ruf zerstören. Da Cates und Perkins jedoch angedeutet haben, dass noch andere bekannte Namen in die Partien involviert waren, dürfte Junglemans Stellungnahme nicht das letzte gewesen sein, was wir davon hören.<\/p>
