Bevor Gavin Griffin im Jahr 2008 als erster Spieler überhaupt die Triple Crown erreichen konnte, galt der prestigeträchtige Dreifacherfolg lange Zeit als unmöglich erreichbar. Mittlerweile haben neun Spieler das Kunststück vollbracht, kaum jemand dürfte aber mit Roberto Romanellos Weg zur Krone gerechnet haben.<\/p>

Die Triple Crown beim Live-Poker ist erreicht, wenn man einen Sieg bei der WSOP, WPT und EPT feiern konnte. Romanello hatte bereits 2010 den Titel bei der EPT Prag geholt und 2011 den Sieg beim WPT-Event in Bratislava.<\/p>

Vergangene Nacht hat er nun das $1.500-No-Limit-Event der WSOP Online bei GGPoker<\/strong> für sich entschieden und $212.613 als Hauptpreis erhalten. Auf seinem Weg zum ersten WSOP-Bracelet und somit der Triple Crown konnte er sich gegen ein Feld von insgesamt 921 Entrys an den virtuellen Tischen durchsetzen.<\/p>

Nur wenige dürften erwartet haben, dass eine Triple Crown je durch einen Sieg bei einem Online-Turnier zustande kommen würde. Der eine oder andere wird vielleicht sogar argumentieren, dass Romanellos Kunststück nicht zählen sollte. Bereits bei Davidi Kitai hatte man debattiert, ob der ruhmreiche Dreifacherfolg tatsächlich erreicht wurde, nachdem Kitai seinen WPT-Titel bei einem Event gewann, das nur mit Einladung gespielt werden konnte. Gibt es am Ende bei einem Turnier aber ein WSOP-Bracelet, dürften die meisten es auch als offizielles WSOP-Event sehen.<\/p>

Neben Romanello und Kitai konnten Gavin Griffin, Roland De Wolfe, Bertrand Grospellier, Mohsin Charania, Harrison Gimble<\/strong> und Niall Farrell<\/strong> als bisher einzige Spieler die Triple Crown beim Poker gewinnen.<\/p>
