Die WSOP ist in dieser Woche gestartet und es geht direkt zur Sache. Lässt man das Eröffnungsturnier für Casino-Mitarbeiter außen vor, hat sich David Peters als erster Gewinner des Jahres 2022 in die WSOP-Annalen eingetragen.<\/p>

An einem extrem stark besetzten Final Table des $100.000 High Roller Bounty, bei dem unter anderem Koray Aldemir und Phil Ivey mitmischten, setzte er sich im Heads-up gegen Chance Kornuth durch und gewann damit sein insgesamt viertes WSOP-Bracelet und den Hauptpreis von $1.166.810<\/strong>.<\/p>

Das Turnierfinale war dabei eins der schnellsten, die wir je bei der WSOP erlebt haben. Lediglich 26 Hände wurden am Final Table gespielt, was besonders günstig ist für alle, die sich das Finale anschauen wollen: Die erste Stunde der in diesem Jahr übertragenen Final Table wird stets kostenlos von PokerGO bei YouTube bereitgestellt. Im konkreten Fall langte das, bis der Sieger feststand.<\/p>

\"Es fühlt sich klasse an, insbesondere weil es das erste Event der Serie ist, das erste außerhalb des Rios. Es ist ein so prestigeträchtiges Turnier, so viele großartige Spieler\", erklärte Peters gegenüber PokerNews nach seinem Sieg. \"Die Nummer vier zu erreichen ist grandios. Es gibt nicht sehr viele Menschen, die bereits vier Stück haben. Das ist ein wirklich schöner Start in die Serie.\"<\/p>

Kontrovers war das Turnierfinale aber auch<\/strong>, nachdem Ali Imsirovic ebenfalls Teil davon war und das Turnier auf Platz 4 für $350.158 abschloss.<\/p>

Die Betrugsvorwürfe gegen Imsirovic<\/a> sind hinlänglich bekannt, da hilft es auch nichts, dass er 50% seiner Gewinne für wohltätige Zwecke spenden will. Vielmehr sehen viele darin eher einen zynischen Versuch, sich die Gunst der Pokercommunity zu erhaschen.<\/p>

Jake Schindler, Sergi Reixach und Bryn Kenney, denen ebenfalls von mehreren Personen Betrug vorgeworfen wird, haben das Turnier ebenfalls gespielt.<\/p>
