Ein weiterer Spieler hat sich aus der Debatte rund um den \"besten Pokerspieler ohne Bracelet\" verabschiedet, nachdem Dan Smith sein erstes Armband bei der $25.000 Heads-up Championship der WSOP eingetütet hat.<\/p>

Auf seinem Weg zum Triumph musste er sich im direkten Duell gegen Jake Daniels, Laszlo Bujtas, Alex Foxen, Jonathan Jaffe, Dario Sammartino und Christoph Vogelsang aus Deutschland durchsetzen. Als Hauptpreis gab es dafür $509.717<\/strong>, während Vogelsang immerhin noch $315.059 für Platz 2 bekam, das bisher beste Ergebnis bei der WSOP 2022 aus deutscher Sicht.<\/p>

\"Ich bin eigentlich nicht besonders sentimental\", sagte Smith im Anschluss. \"Aber ich erinnere mich an die Fragen vor dem Final Table beim One Drop und wie alle wissen wollten, wie wichtig es mir sei, um das Bracelet zu spielen. Damals habe ich gesagt, dass ich voll und ganz auf die $10 Millionen fokussiert sei. Heute war das anders. Heute ging es tatsächlich um das Bracelet.\"<\/p>

Highstakes-Regular Scott Seiver war derweil ein weiterer bekannter Name, der sich in die Siegerliste der WSOP 2022 eintragen konnte. Im Freezeout-Turnier mit $2.500 Buy-in setzte er sich gegen ein Feld von 752 Spielern durch und bekam dafür $320.059<\/strong>.<\/p>

\"Ich fühle mich großartig\", ließ Seiver verlauten. \"Ich war im Vorfeld richtig heiß darauf, eine ganze Reihe an Turnieren zu spielen. Die World Series of Poker hat einfach etwas Besonderes an sich. In den vergangenen Jahren habe ich lediglich ein paar Turniere hier und da mitgenommen. Nun will ich es aber etwas mehr forcieren und schauen, wo ich stehe. So weit, so gut!\"<\/p>
