Drei Jahre lang musste man sich bis zur Rückkehr der EPT Barcelona gedulden, das Warten hat sich jedoch gelohnt. Das diesjährige Main Event ist das größte in der Geschichte der European Poker Tour mit insgesamt 2.294 Spielern<\/strong>.<\/p>

Der bisherige Main-Event-Rekord aus dem Jahr 2019 mit insgesamt 1.988 Spielern wurde damit deutlich übertroffen, sodass auch in Europa die Nachfrage nach Live-Poker nach zwei Jahren Pandemie nachweislich hoch ausfällt.<\/p>

Dem Gewinner beim Main Event der EPT Barcelona winken nun €1.714.000 am Ende der Woche. Nur 64 Spieler verbleiben vor dem Start des heutigen vierten Turniertags im Turnier, die allesamt ein Preisgeld von €23.580 bereits sicher haben.<\/p>

Der Main-Event-Rekord war nicht der einzige Teilnehmerrekord der bei der EPT in Katalonien aufgestellt wurde. Vergangene Woche kamen beim Estrellas Poker Tour Main Event<\/strong>, das im Vorfeld des EPT Main Event in Barcelona ausgetragen wurde, insgesamt 6.313 Entrys zustande, so viele wie noch nie in der Geschichte der EPT. Nun wird bereits spekuliert, ob am Wochenende auch neue Rekord beim Women's Event und dem noch anstehenden High Roller der EPT Barcelona aufgestellt werden.<\/p>

Wie die nachfolgende Liste zeigt, ist die EPT-Station in Barcelona seit jeher die beliebteste aller EPT-Ausgaben. Allein die fünf bisher größten Main-Event-Teilnehmer kamen dort zustande, nun auch erstmals mit deutlich mehr als 2.000 Teilnehmern.<\/p>
