In der Schachszene kam es in dieser Woche zu einer Schlagzeile, die Erinnerungen an die Betrugsvorwürfe wecken, die den Jahresbeginn in der Pokerszene bestimmt hatten. Ausgang war, dass der legendäre Schach-Weltmeister und von Unibet gesponserte Pokerfan Magnus Carlsen überraschend das Schachturnier Sinquefield Cup abbrach.<\/p>

Should clarify to non chess players that online cheating is SO much more common than live cheating- so the fact that someone cheated online is not a clear sign on its own that someone would cheat live.<\/p>\n

Parallelen zu den Betrugsvorwürfen in der Highstakes-Pokerszene<\/h2>

Die Pokerszene beschäftigen die Betrugsvorwürfe zu Jahresbeginn<\/a> und mögliche Maßnahmen zur Vermeidung und Sanktionierung nach wie vor. Zur Erinnerung: Den drei etablierten Highstakes-Profis Ali Imsirovic, Jake Schindler und Bryn Kenney wurde Betrug an den Online-Tischen auf unterschiedliche Weise vorgeworfen und zumindest Imsirovic und Schindler wurden in der Folge von allen Turnieren der EPT und der Triton Series ausgeschlossen.<\/p>

Dass der größte Name der Schachszene ein Turnier in der Form abbricht, ist ein gewaltiges Statement, das zweifellos mögliche Betrugsfälle in der Schachszene ins Rampenlicht bringen wird. Ähnliche Boykottversuche von Pokerspielern hatten zuvor hingegen wenig Erfolg, weil die Turniere letztlich softer werden, wenn eine Reihe von Highstakes-Profis aus Protest gar nicht erst antreten, was sie wiederum attraktiver für andere Spieler macht. Entsprechend müsste die Pokerszene geschlossen bei derartigen Maßnahmen vorgehen und ein Boykott von der gesamten Community unterstützt werden.<\/p>

Persönlich bin ich zu unerfahren, was die Welt von Schach betrifft, um die Vorgänge darüber hinaus zu kommentieren. Es wird jedoch interessant bleiben, wie sich die Geschichte weiterentwickelt und ich bin besonders an weiteren Ausführungen von Jennifer Shahade interessiert, die gleichermaßen viel Erfahrung im Bereich Poker und Schach vorweisen kann. Vielleicht kann man ja von der Schachszene etwas lernen, wie man in der Pokerszene mit möglichen Betrugsvorfällen verfahren sollte, insbesondere online.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
