Es gibt zu viele Bracelet-Gewinner bei der World Series of Poker, um über alle zu berichten, aber wenn ein ehemaliger Spieler des Jahres der WSOP sein fünftes gewinnt, ist das sicherlich eine Schlagzeile wert.<\/p>

Josh Arieh, der 2021 das POY-Race der World Series für sich entscheiden konnte und nebenbei als Chef von Poker Stake aktiv ist, hat bei der WSOP 2023 das mittlerweile fünfte Bracelet seiner Karriere gewonnen, dieses Mal bei der $10.000 Limit Hold'em Championship.<\/p>

Erwartungsgemäß wollte ihm ein stark besetzter Final Table den Sieg streitig machen, an dem sich unter anderem auch Ex-Champion Joe McKeehen und Nick Schulman einfanden, die aber den Sieg von Arieh für $316.226 nicht verhindern konnten.<\/p>

Es ist das zweite Bracelet für ihn im Limit Hold'em, nachdem er in einer völlig anderen Ära bereits 1999 zum ersten Mal in der klassischen Variante mit begrenzten Einsätzen erfolgreich war. Die weiteren drei Armbänder seiner Karriere holte Arieh derweil allesamt im Pot-Limit Omaha.<\/p>

Im Gespräch mit PokerNews<\/em> nach seinem abermaligen WSOP-Erfolg sprach er angesichts der generationenübergreifenden Erfolge auch über seine Chancen, in die Poker Hall of Fame aufgenommen zu werden:<\/p>

\"Das ist ein weiterer Schritt, der mir eine Chance gibt, vielleicht in die Hall of Fame aufgenommen zu werden. Ich erinnere mich an die Zeit, als Pokerspieler noch als diese schlichte Hinterzimmer-Gauner angesehen wurden. Wenn man Pokerspieler war, musste man auch ein schlechter Mensch sein. 'Du spielst für deinen Lebensunterhalt; wie genau machst du das nur?' Ich habe es schon einmal gesagt: Es verleiht dem Ganzen etwas mehr Anerkennung. Und wenn man über die Namen der Leute nachdenkt, die für eine Aufnahme ihn Frage kommen oder bereits in der Hall of Fame sind, dann wäre das einfach verrückt, wenn ich das ebenfalls schaffe!\"<\/p>

Ein weiterer Spieler, der in der vergangenen Woche das insgesamt fünfte WSOP-Bracelet seiner Karriere eintüten konnte, war Brian Yoon, der die $10.000 Seven Card Stud Championship für $311.433 gewann.<\/p>
