Mehrere Pokerräume in den Vereinigten Staaten und die World Poker Tour feiern heute das Leben von Doyle Brunson mit speziellen Aktionen zum kurzerhand so getauften \"Doyle Brunson Day\".<\/p>

Heute ist der 2. Oktober, was im europäischen Datumsformat bedeutungslos erscheinen mag, aber in den USA ist es der 10\/2. Eine Anspielung auf die Starthand T2 liegt nahe<\/strong>, mit der Brunson sowohl 1976 als auch 1977 das Main Event der World Series of Poker im Heads-up gewann.<\/p>

Kurz nach seinem Tod im Mai dieses Jahres<\/a> begannen Pokerspieler auf der ganzen Welt, zu Ehren des \"Godfather of Poker\" mit 10-2 zu bluffen.<\/p>

Im Lodge Card Club von Doug Polk wird man nun heute einen Jackpot in Höhe von $10.200 an einen Cashgame-Spieler vergeben, dem es gelingt, eine Hand mit T2 zu gewinnen. Das Peppermill in Nevada schüttet $100 aus, wenn ein Spieler zwischen 10:02 Uhr und 22:02 Uhr einen Flush oder besser erzielt. In Madrid wird derweil beim Prime Festival der World Poker Tour unter allen Spielern, die einen Pot mit T2 gewinnen, ein Prime-Championship-Ticket im Wert von $1.100 verlost.<\/p>

Zweifellos wird es noch mehr Aktionen dieser Art geben und wir erleben hoffentlich den Beginn einer tollen neuen Tradition zu Ehren der Ikone schlechthin des Spiels, das wir alle lieben.<\/p>
