Auch Jungleman ist mit von der Partie<\/figcaption><\/figure>

Nachdem Phil Ivey als erster Spieler seine Teilnahme am Big One for One Drop mit einem Buy-in von $1 Million bekannt gab, haben mittlerweile sechs weitere Spieler bestätigt, dass sie das siebenstellige Buy-in auf der hohen Kante haben, um teilzunehmen.<\/p>

Rick Salomon, David Einhorn, Talal Shakerchi, Daniel \"Jungleman\" Cates, Chris Brewer und Nick Petrangelo<\/strong> haben allesamt ihre Teilnahme am Turnier angekündigt, womit die bestätigte Teilnehmerzahl auf sieben steigt.
<\/strong><\/p>

Salomon ist der einzige Spieler, der an allen vier bisherigen Ausgaben des Turniers teilgenommen hat und in drei davon die Preisränge erreichen konnte. Einhorn hatte derweil einen dritten Platz beim ersten Big One for One Drop im Jahr 2012 erreicht.<\/p>

Cates, Brewer, Petrangelo und Ivey repräsentieren den Anteil der Profispieler in der bisherigen Teilnehmerliste, aber auch wenn er sich selbst als Amateur bezeichnet, könnte man Talal Shakerchi mit seiner beachtlichen Turnierlaufbahn ebenfalls als Profi werten.<\/p>

Rückkehr nach fünf Jahren<\/h2>

Der berüchtigte Turnier mit siebenstelligem Buy-in wird dieses Jahr wieder am Rande der World Poker Tour ausgerichtet<\/a> und nicht wie meist üblich als Teil der World Series of Poker. Gespielt wird das Big One for One Drop 2023 in Las Vegas im Zuge der WPT World Championship vom 18. bis 20. Dezember.<\/p>

Sechs Prozent jedes Buy-ins von $1 Million kommen direkt der One Drop Foundation zugute, die sich für den nachhaltigen Zugang zu sicherem Wasser, sanitären Einrichtungen und Hygiene für Gemeinden auf der ganzen Welt einsetzt, die mit extremen Herausforderungen konfrontiert sind. Ein Prozent wird als Rake für die Finanzierung des Veranstalters einbehalten.<\/p>

Das Big One for One Drop hat eine fünfjährige Pause hinter sich, die bisherigen Turniere in dieser Größenordnung sahen wie folgt aus:<\/p>
