Das Championship Event ist ein $5.000 Buy-In Turnier. Gespielt wird, wie zu erwarten, No Limit Hold'em. Das Turnier ist auf drei Tage angesetzt.<\/p>

Im Harrah’s Kasino in New Orleans gastiert die WSOPC inzwischen zum dritten mal. Letztmals im Mai diesen Jahres, als die WSOPC 06\/07 dort ihren Abschluss fand. 364 Teilnehmer fanden im Mai ihren Weg an die Pokertische in New Orleans und spielten um einen Preispool von $1.667.100. Der Sieger, Lou Esposito, gewann $516.601. Auch der deutsche WSOPE Gewinner Thomas Bihl versuchte sein Glück bereits einmal bei der WSOPC in New Orleans. 2006 erreichte er dort einen guten 23ten Platz. <\/p>

Das letzte WSOPC Main Event in Lake Tahoe konnte Chris „Jesus“ Ferguson gewinnen, der damit als einziger Spieler weltweit drei Turniersiege bei der WSOPC verbuchen konnte. Wir berichteten darüber in der News „Chris Ferguson gewinnt seinen dritten WSOPC Goldring<\/a>“.<\/p>

Die WSOPC ist eine Turnierserie der WSOP, die in verschiedenen Kasinos ausgetragen wird. Jedoch ist die WSOPC nicht nur irgendeine Turnierserie, sondern vielmehr gilt sie als wichtigste und prestigeträchtigste Serie dieser Art. Der Sieger des Main Events darf sich nicht nur über das Preisgeld freuen, sondern erhält auch ein Ticket zum WSOP Main Event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
