Endlich mehr Pausen für alte Haudegen<\/figcaption><\/figure>

Anfang des Jahres kündigte Phil Hellmuth an, das Main Event zu boykottieren<\/a>, weil er die 12-Stunden-Tage nicht mehr bewältigen könne. Es scheint, als hätte sich die WSOP das zu Herzen genommen. <\/p>

Das Turnier des Jahres sollte ursprünglich vom 2. bis 16. Juli über die Bühne gehen, wird nun aber bis zum 24. Juli ausgedehn<\/strong>t. <\/p>

Außerdem gibt es zwei einstündige Pausen pro Tag und zwei ganze freie Tage in der Mitte des Main Events am 18. und 19. Juli<\/strong>. An diesen Tagen ist ein Flip & Go Turnier für Teilnehmende unter 50 Jahren geplant, die trotz der massiven Strapazen des Main Events noch Energie haben.<\/p>

Phil Hellmuth und Daniel Negreanu äußerten sich in einer gemeinsamen Stellungnahme zu den Änderungen:<\/p>

 Auch wenn einflussreiche und renommierte Spieler, wie wir es sind, nicht bevorzugt behandelt werden, ist diese Änderung aber ein Schritt in die richtige Richtung.<\/p><\/blockquote>

Die WSOP kündigte außerdem Seniorenrabatte in allen Caesars-Restaurants an.<\/p>
