Aaron ‘AJ’ Cummings gelang in Las Vegas ein unglaublicher Triumph, als er das $1.500 Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw Event verteidigte und $157.172<\/strong> sowie sich das erste Back-to-Back-Bracelet im selben Event seit drei Jahren sicherte.<\/p>

Nach einem Heads-up-Sieg gegen Travis Erdman freute sich Cummings über diesen einzigartigen Erfolg, nachdem Spieler wie Andres Korn und Nathan Gamble zwar nahe dran waren, aber am Bracelet vorbeischrammten.<\/p>

Vor einem Jahr gewann Aaron Cummings $146.516, als er das $1.500 Limit 2-7 Lowball<\/a> Triple Draw Event (#22 im WSOP-Plan 2024) für sich entschied. Ein Jahr später trat er bei Event #63 der diesjährigen WSOP zur Titelverteidigung an. Damit wurde er der erste Spieler, der seit Dan ‘Jungleman<\/a>’ Cates den Chip Reese-Pokal<\/a> 2022 nach seinem Sieg im Vorjahr<\/a> verteidigte, ein WSOP-Event im Folgejahr erneut gewinnen konnte.<\/p>

Cummings’ Erfolg bringt ihm vielleicht nicht denselben Ruhm oder Preisgeld ein wie andere, ist aber nicht weniger beeindruckend. Nachdem Nathan Gamble (7. Platz für $17.563) und Andres Korn (6. Platz für $23.995) ausgeschieden waren, traf Cummings im Heads-up auf Travis Erdman. Letzterer hatte einen 3:1 Chiplead, doch drei Neuner-Lows sicherten Cummings den Titel. Nach der letzten Karte zeigte er sich selbst überrascht von seinem Erfolg.<\/p>

„Ein alter Freund von mir sagte: ‘Es ist wie ein Déjà-vu, schon wieder’. Das denke ich seit 15 Minuten. Alles ist identisch, es ist einfach verrückt.“<\/p>

Ein unwahrscheinlicher Traum<\/h2>

Nach seinem Sieg gab Cummings zu, dass er angefangen hatte, an die Titelverteidigung zu glauben, als er die ersten Level des Finaltags überstanden hatte.<\/p>

„Ich kam mit einem Shortstack in den Tag, also wusste ich, dass es hart werden würde“, sagte er. „Natürlich gab es eine Chance. Die Leute sind immer großartig. Deshalb spiele ich das Event. Es macht immer Spaß, und die Menschen machen es so unterhaltsam.“<\/p>
