Doug Polk hat seine Coaching-Plattform Upswing Poker an seinen neuen Sponsor ClubWPT Gold verkauft. Die Trainingsseite, die Polk 2016 gemeinsam mit Ryan Fee ins Leben rief, hat sich seitdem als feste Größe im Markt etabliert.<\/p>

Seit dem Launch hat sich Polk auch abseits von Upswing als geschäftstüchtiger Unternehmer erwiesen – mit dem Lodge Card Club<\/a>, erfolgreichen YouTube-Formaten und jüngst sogar einem Ausflug auf die Stand-up-Comedy-Bühne<\/a>. <\/p>

Upswing Poker entstand als Antwort auf den damaligen Marktführer CardRunners<\/strong>. Statt einer bloßen Videobibliothek setzte Polk auf strukturierte Kurse, um Spielern gezielt zu helfen, ihr Spiel zu verbessern. <\/p>

In einem Rückblick auf die Entstehungsgeschichte der Seite teilte Polk eine amüsante Randnotiz: Der allererste Kunde war ausgerechnet Ali Imsirovic, der später als umstrittene Figur in der Pokerwelt<\/a> Schlagzeilen machte:<\/p>

In jüngster Zeit hat Polk verstärkt mit ClubWPT Gold zusammengearbeitet – einer Marke, die ebenso wie er gerne für Schlagzeilen sorgt. ClubWPT ist bekannt für kühne Aktionen wie das $5-Millionen-Freeroll<\/a> oder den $1-Millionen-Bonus bei der diesjährigen WSOP<\/a>. <\/p>

Durch den Deal mit ClubWPT erhalten Upswing-Kunden nun Spielguthaben für die Plattform. Ein interessanter Schachzug, wenn man bedenkt, dass der Kundenstamm von Upswing durch Polks Partnerschaft vermutlich ohnehin längst mit ClubWPT vertraut ist und viele dort bereits aktiv sind.<\/p>

Ein vergleichbarer Deal liegt Jahre zurück: Damals tat sich Full Tilt mit CardRunners zusammen – eine Partnerschaft, die jedoch mit dem Black Friday ein abruptes Ende fand. Zum Verkaufspreis wurde nichts Konkretes bekannt, doch Polk verriet in seinem Video, dass Upswing in den letzten Jahren Umsätze in Millionenhöhe erzielt und zehntausende Kunden gewonnen habe<\/strong> – ein Hinweis darauf, dass der Deal finanziell wohl erheblich gewesen sein dürfte. <\/p>
