Die World Poker Tour (WPT) hat die Termine für die kommenden WPT World Championships 2025 bekannt gegeben und das jährliche Turnier damit zum dritten Mal zeitgleich zur WSOP Paradise terminiert.<\/p>

Das Festival findet vom 2. bis 22. Dezember<\/strong> statt und kehrt erneut ins Wynn Las Vegas Casino zurück. Es umfasst eine Vielzahl von Pokerturnieren, darunter das WPT World Championships Main Event, das 2024 von Scott Stewart für $2.563.900 gewonnen wurde.<\/p>

Wie im letzten Jahr hat das WPT World Championship Event 2025 ein Buy-in von $10.400 ($9.800 + $600 und drei Starttage (Day 1 Flights). Zwar gibt es keine Erwähnung einer Garantie<\/strong> – ebenso wie 2024 – doch der Preispool von $23.000.000 im Jahr 2024 war mit 2.392 Entries mehr als ausreichend. Am Finaltisch saßen drei britische Spieler: Rob Sherwood, Jonathan Willis und Chris Moorman<\/a>. Der Americas Cardroom<\/a>-Pro belegte zum zweiten Mal in Folge den vierten Platz.<\/p>

Ebenso gab es keine Ankündigung ob das $5.000.000 Freeroll erneut stattfindet, das im letzten Jahr die Fantasie der Pokerwelt beflügelte.<\/p>

„Die WPT World Championship ist ein wahres Pokerfest, und das Wynn Las Vegas hat sich als die ultimative Bühne erwiesen“, sagte World Poker Tour<\/a>-CEO Adam Pliska in einer Stellungnahme. „Dieses Event ist zu einem der beliebtesten Turniere im globalen Pokerkalender geworden und wir freuen uns darauf, Spieler aus aller Welt willkommen zu heißen, die um lebensverändernde Summen und die Chance, Geschichte zu schreiben, spielen.“<\/p>

In den letzten Jahren standen die World Poker Tour und die World Series of Poker im Dezember in direkter Konkurrenz und dieses Jahr ist keine Ausnahme. Mit 15 WSOP-Bracelet-Events im Programm bei der WSOP Paradise auf den Bahamas<\/a> wird die World Series of Poker viele Spieler in die Sonne, ans Meer und an die Strände des Atlantis Resorts locken. Die WPT lässt sich davon jedoch nicht beirren und hält an ihrer Strategie fest, das größte Festival ihres Jahres im selben Zeitraum auszurichten.<\/p>

Mit der Ankündigung der $1.100 WPT Prime Championship<\/a> mit Start am 7. Dezember, aber der Bestätigung das die WPT Ladies Championship erst später stattfinden werden, enthüllt die WPT ihre Pläne nur schrittweise. Man hofft auf eine Wiederholung der Teilnehmerzahlen des Vorjahres im World Championship Event, dessen Starttage vom 13. bis 15. Dezember stattfinden und das mit dem Finale am 21. Dezember endet.<\/p>

Nach einer Garantie von $40.000.000 im Jahr 2023 und einem Preispool von $23.000.000 im Jahr 2024 könnte die Größe der WPT World Championships 2025 entscheidend für eine der ältesten und größten Marken im Poker sein.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
