In der vergangenen Woche fand in London das zweite PokerStars-Live-Festival ausschließlich für Frauen statt.<\/p>

Das £400 Main Event des Women's Summer Festival wurde im Clermont London ausgetragen und zog ein Feld von 193 Spielerinnen aus aller Welt an.<\/p>

Die Siegerin war eine der größten Botschafterinnen für Frauen im Poker, die das Spiel je gesehen hat. Jennifer Shahade<\/a> setzte sich durch und gewann £22.200<\/strong>, nachdem sie Claire Taylor im Heads-up besiegte.<\/p>

Shahade ist PokerStars-Botschafterin und ebenso bekannt als Fürsprecherin für Frauen im Schach. Sie hat sich einen Namen gemacht, indem sie die Brücke zwischen Poker und Schach schlug<\/a> und so vielen Spielerinnen beide Welten näherbrachte.<\/p>

Ein hochverdienter und gefeierter Sieg, denn Shahade war im Laufe der Jahre zweifellos für viele der anwesenden Spielerinnen eine Inspiration. Dieses Event hat erneut gezeigt, dass eine große Nachfrage nach Frauenturnieren und sogar nach eigenständigen Festivals für Spielerinnen besteht. Die erste Ausgabe dieses Events gewann eine weitere Topspielerin: Maria Lampropulos setzte sich im vergangenen November durch. <\/a><\/p>
